Blue Skywalker Speedwell
Extremely easy to grow and virtually maintenance-free; flower spikes are tightly bunched and long, producing stunning blue flowers from the bottom up; makes an ideal garden accent, great in rock gardens. Blue Skywalker Speedwell has masses of beautiful spikes of blue flowers with violet overtones rising above the foliage from mid to late summer, which are most effective when planted in groupings. Its glossy narrow leaves remain forest green in color throughout the season. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies to your yard, but is not particularly attractive to deer who tend to leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. Will grow to be about 24 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 18 inches. This plant does best in full sun to partial shade.
