Pembina Plum
Pembina is the finest plum that can be grown on the prairies. A hybrid between a Japanese and a Canadian plum. A late-season clingstone plum. This plum has thick red skin with yellow flesh, and has an extremely sweet and juicy taste. It is a hardy plum. Pollinate this variety with a plum in the American group: Brookred or Western Sand Cherry. Good for fresh eating and in desserts, and it is fair for cooking and canning.
